The Wraps are Coming Off the New Baseball Card Player Search Engine
December 11th 2007
We are about to conclude the beta for BaseballCardChase.com. All known bugs that are user facing have been resolved. Searching for old, vintage baseball cards is working just fine. Results are being shown for player cards from the late 1800’s, the early 1900’s through the modern age of baseball.
We have a few items to correct on the adminstrative side for managing the search results for baseball card dealers. But, those issues do not impact the baseball articles or the search for sports cards. Prices and values of baseball cards are also not impacted.
If you have suggestions for additional sports cards dealers or retail sites that you would like added to the baseball card search meta engine, please use the contact us form to send in the suggestions. We will begin publishing of baseball player card blog articles within one week. Thanks for visiting baseballcardchase.com.
Testing for Vintage Cards and Modern Baseball Cards
December 5th 2007
The testing of BaseballCardChase.com continues. We’ve been running multiple searches the past few days and are getting mixed results for older player cards against newer baseball cards.
Searching for baseball players from prior to the 1980’s does give results. We’re also seeing some aggressive pricing for older cards. However, the results are sometimes sparse for position players at some sites.
Best results are coming from MVPs, All-Stars and World Series winners. Yankees, Cubs, Dodgers and Red Sox do better than most.
We’re finding that on Ebay, you can find just about any player from the last 30 years. Results are quick in the BaseballCardChase.com search engine.
Our next round of testing will be to make sure that the database is maintaining proper data on sports card searches.
Old Baseball Card Pics Added
December 3rd 2007
To continue building out baseballcardchase.com, we added pictures of old and rare baseball cards to the site. When you visit the homepage, there are now pictures of baseball players that show up on the left side of logo.
The cards are vintage and modern. We hope you enjoy looking at them while you conduct your search for old baseball cards.
